Smaller high school programs competing in Boys Varsity and Girls Varsity divisions.
Across upstate New York, with games hosted in member-program gyms and a shared postseason championship.

Serving programs, supporting officials, and protecting the standard of the league.
Andy has served as an Upward Sports basketball commissioner since 2022, helping lead New Hope Community Church’s basketball ministry in Queensbury. The ministry serves more than 220 student-athletes with the support of 50 volunteers. As UBL Commissioner, Andy guides league operations, communication, and long-term growth while helping member programs compete under clear, consistent standards.
Chris has officiated basketball for 36 years and has helped train new officials joining the Section 2 Board. As UBL Referee Coordinator, he recruits, assigns, and supports experienced officials so every game is consistently managed and played to the league’s standards.
